[Update] Sharing assets between Java NIO (ByteBuffer) and Flash (ByteArray)

I updated the sample because I saw that the data wasn't working continuous.
Anyone knows how can I fix the following issue:
[7/0/2007 11:11:13] Security Error: [SecurityErrorEvent type="securityError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: http://www.felipeandrade.org/tornado/samples/webcam_sharing_002.swf cannot load data from 201.50.145.211:3000."]

I tried the following...

Security.loadPolicyFile("http://www.felipeandrade.org/tornado/samples/crossdomain.xml");
Security.allowDomain("*");
Security.allowInsecureDomain("*");

You can access the on-line sample here.

Sharing assets between Java NIO (ByteBuffer) and Flash (ByteArray)

Some time ago I was working on a video surveillance system based on Flash Media Server but the main point when talking about FMS was the bandwidth cost.

I got inspired by the Thibault Imbert work and made my own webcam-sharing system using Tornado Socket Server. If you enjoy this, please make a donation to support more open source projects.

To get it running you need to download tornado executable files and the Adobe Flash source code.

Mobile 3.0 – The next generation of mobile services

Mobile technology has come a long way from the days of being simple voice, SMS and even as an email device. The question is while most of the current services are maturing, what new services are likely to emerge and what business models will emerge to support that ecosystem of value added services. Join a panel of experts who will discuss:

- What are today's consumers demanding and tomorrow's users going to demand?
- What are the emerging applications that are already finding a niche?
- Will Mobile TV/Video continue to be a niche-play or will it find mainstream?
- What are the critical success factors for mobile applications?
- Where is the money today? Where's the spending tomorrow?

Flyer puts JavaME and Python S60 to chat

First of all I have to ask excuses for the delay in the next release of Flyer Framework. I've been working a lot in non-open projects like ilharecife (I made a soccer game inside SecondLife) but Flyer Framework 2.0 is in your final status. I also didn't receive any incentive from any global company so the project was frozen but I love what I do and I will provide the Flyer Framework 2.0 to all around the world.
I've already implemented bluetooth gaming support, GPS support, device database support (CRUD), and more. I put Python S60 chating with Java ME in two ways: the first using a Http Connection (limited) and like in Flash Lite 2.1 with a Socket Connection.

I hope you will enjoy the Flyer Framework 2.0! Stay tunned!

7 things that you have to know in Flash Lite and Java ME (portuguese)

Upgrading Tornado Project to use Maven2 project management tool

I'm very happy to have this blog, last week I knew an experienced Java Developer who will help me in the hard task to manage Tornado Server. Aldrin is a talented Java Developer from Brasil. Every day I can learn from people around the world and also give my two cents of knowledge. In this next step we're upgrading Tornado to use Maven2, a software project management and comprehension tool. Based on the concept of a project object model (POM), Maven can manage a project's build, reporting and documentation from a central piece of information.
